Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist with dispensing prescriptions and pharmacy operations. You will greet customers, collect information, and refer clinical queries to the pharmacist, while ensuring accuracy and privacy.

You will support administration, handle third-party billing, data entry, and workflow, while maintaining confidentiality and contributing to excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Registered with the provincial licensing college.
• Diploma from a Pharmacy Technician College.

Responsibilities

• Greet customer promptly and gather prescription information according to Standards.
• Refer clinical inquiries to the pharmacist.
• Accurate dispensing prescription medications.
• Adjudicate third party billing when required and necessary.
• Assist in prescription preparation and data entry.
• Manage incoming faxes and file documentation per standards.
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy requirements.

Education

Diploma from a Pharmacy Technician College

Registered with the corresponding provincial licensing college
