Servus Credit Union is seeking a full-time Registry Agent for our Jasper branch. You’ll assess member needs and handle databases to process vehicle, vital stats, land titles, personal property and corporate registry tasks.

Youll be the first contact, acting as a brand ambassador and delivering personalized service.

• Business certificate, diploma, or degree is an asset.
• Training or experience with computers is required.

The Registry Agent is accountable for assessing member and client needs and manipulating databases in order to process over 160 products in the areas of motor vehicles, vital statistics, land titles, personal property and corporate registry on behalf of their employers and Service Alberta. The Registry Agent plays an integral role in the delivery of superior personalized service to our members. As the first point of contact you strive to fulfill the role of brand ambassador by making members and clients feel at home. You engage our member and client through effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills and by exceeding expectations. You build relationships by asking probing questions with the objective of satisfying member and client needs.

What You’ll Be Doing

Sales, Marketing and Promotion

• Achieve or exceed assigned sales and referral goals.
• Enthusiastically participate in, and assist in the creation of corporate and branch campaigns, and marketing/business development plans.
• Identify, solicit, and close sales opportunities; offer appropriate Servus products and services to members/clients in response to stated needs, as well as in response to clues indicating unstated needs.
• Solicit new members; foster business development through service excellence and product knowledge.
• Maintain a professional image in the community.

Member Experience

• Build member/client confidence, loyalty, and trust through the delivery of superior personalized service and the referral or sale of customized financial solutions.
• Address member inquiries and concerns with ease.
• Remain current on product knowledge with a focus on communicating benefits to our members/clients.
• Provide competent and courteous service to members/clients at all times in a timely, friendly and professional manner.
• Maintain a professional appearance and an organized workspace.
• Follow policies and procedures for each service and explain procedures to customers.
• Store documents and information securely and protect individual identification and passwords.
• Ensure member/client complaints are handled in accordance with our service standards, escalating issues when necessary to the Supervisor, Assistant or Branch Manager.
• Serve members/clients and determine whether accredited to provide required service, verify identities of customers, access appropriate databases and handle payment and balance.
• Secure physical workspaces and inventory and follow paper/document management protocols.
• Acquire full knowledge of our Mission, Vision and the supporting statements and then demonstrate Servus Credit Union core values in all actions.

Risk Management

• Ensure necessary due diligence is taken to support the accuracy of all member/client transactions.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures in order to mitigate risk of loss to Servus Credit Union and Service Alberta.
• Apply Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) Act and apply Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

Experience

What you bring:

• Ability to relate actions to the strategic plans of the organization. Knowledge of the organization and the credit union system. Prior retail experience, customer service or banking experience is essential.
