Downtown Animal Hospital in Kingston, Ontario, is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) for its emergency and urgent care team. Join a busy hospital offering rapid case variety, mentorship, and a supportive workplace culture.

You will work in a modern facility with advanced imaging and in-house analyzers, delivering high‑quality patient care while building client relationships. Flexible shifts across days, evenings, nights, and weekends are available to fit a 36‑hour week.

Qualifications

  • RVT designation or eligibility for registration in Ontario.
  • Experience in emergency and urgent veterinary medicine.
  • Strong patient care, nursing, and monitoring skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and client service skills.
  • Desire to continue learning and growing professionally.
  • Flexibility to work days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Provide rapid, high-quality emergency and urgent veterinary care.
  • Collaborate with a team of veterinary professionals to manage diverse cases.
  • Utilize digital radiography, ultrasound and in-house analyzers to support diagnosis.
  • Deliver exceptional client service and patient care in a fast-paced setting.
  • Mentor and support junior staff where applicable.
