Job Title: Registered Veterinary Technician

Location: Truro, NS

Position Overview:

Fundy Veterinarians, Shubenacadie location, is seeking afull-time Registered Veterinary Technicianto join our patient care team. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, possess strong interpersonal skills, and enjoy working collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer anesthesia and monitor surgical procedures
  • Perform lab work and provide animal care
  • Work one evening per week, share Saturday mornings on a rotation.
  • Maintain accurate records using Avimark computer software

Qualifications:

  • Knowledgeable in anesthesia protocols, surgical monitoring, lab work, and animal nursing care
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • New graduates are welcome; mentoring available from our three experienced Technicians and RVT Hospital Manager.

Work Schedule:

  • One evening per week
  • Shared Saturday mornings
  • Regularly scheduled day off during the week for work/life balance (4 day work week)
