Job summary

Clinique Vétérinaire de la Gatineau in Chelsea is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT). You will build strong client relationships, assist veterinarians in medical, surgical and dental procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety using a range of diagnostic tools.

The ideal candidate has VTNE eligibility or completion and is in good standing with provincial regulators, with a 2–3 year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technician Diploma.

Qualifications

• RVT builds positive client relationships with genuine care and compassion.
• Assists Veterinarian with medical, surgical and dental procedures using diagnostic tools.
• Administers and monitors medicines under the Veterinarian's direction.

Responsibilities

Is This Role Right For You?

Our ideal Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) builds positive client relationships by displaying genuine care and compassion towards clients and their pets, being respectful in all interactions and providing exceptional customer service. The RVT also assists the Veterinarian with medical, surgical and dental procedures, by using a range of diagnostic equipment, preparing patients, instruments and equipment for surgery; and administering and monitoring medicines under the direction of a Veterinarian.

Our ideal Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) must have passed the VTNE or be eligible to write the VTNE, be in good standing with the provincial regulatory association and successfully completed a 2 or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technician Diploma Program
