Job description
Overview

Evergreen Veterinary Dentistry Services is seeking 2-3 highly motivated and experienced RVTs to join our team as we are expanding. We are a referral-based dentistry and oral surgery practice run by a board-certified veterinary dentist (American Veterinary Dental College). We are the only board-certified veterinary dentistry practice on Vancouver Island with a population of approximately one million people and a high population of cats and dogs. An associate doctor will be joining at the end of January 2026, and we would like our team to be trained and ready to work with her from that time while collaborating with our board-certified dentist.

Responsibilities
  • Provide general dentistry and anesthesia care, including COHAT, dental radiographs, prophylaxis, and routine dental procedures.
  • Perform all technical RVT responsibilities and support advanced procedures as needed.
  • Assist with comprehensive oral health and treatment services, including periodontics, guided tissue regeneration, complicated extractions, root canal therapy, occlusion assessment/management, orthodontics, crown therapy, restorative dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and inflammatory oral condition treatment.
  • Assist with oral surgery services such as jaw fracture repair, oronasal fistula repair, tumor diagnosis/management, and reconstructive procedures (mandibulectomy/maxillectomy) and cleft palate repairs.
  • Collaborate with the associate doctor and board-certified dentist to support patient care from admission to discharge.
  • Participate in a team-driven, mentorship-supported environment with opportunities for continuing education and skill development.
Qualifications
  • Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Significant anesthesia experience; familiarity with ventilators is a plus.
  • Strong skills in dental radiographs, prophylaxis, and general dentistry.
  • Ability to perform all standard RVT technical responsibilities; a VTS (Anesthesia) candidate is welcome.
  • Willingness to learn and contribute to more advanced procedures as needed.
Schedule and Compensation

This is a full-time position with a 4-day work week (Tuesday through Friday), typically 9-11 hours per day. Infrequent overtime may be required based on patient and clinic needs. No holidays or weekend shifts; no emergency call requirements.
