Availability : Once a week

We are looking for a Registered Social Worker to join our growing home and community team. Our Social Workers are passionate individuals who help clients with the support they need such as housing, income and social support to name a few. This is a casual community-based opportunity available in North Bay.

What you will be doing :
  • Provides social work services in a community setting to individuals, couples, families, groups, communities, and organizations to develop the skills and resources they need to enhance social functioning and provide counseling, therapy, and referral to other supportive social services. Use a client-centered approach to Establish, implement, evaluate, and adjusts goal-oriented service plans to prioritize existing and potential problems, in collaboration with the client, their families or caregivers, and their Care Coordinator / Funder. Promote client safety by identifying potential risk situations and responding appropriately to minimize risk to self, client, and others. Provide recommendations and referrals to discipline and community resources as needed Be part of a multi-disciplinary team with other health care professionals concurrently involved with the client care Maintain confidentiality of all personal health information stored on their persons, in the home office, at client appointments, and during travel for work according to current provincial regulations, college standards, and CTG requirements

Skills needed for success :
  • Have a master’s degree or bachelor’s degree in Social Work from an accredited university.
