Job description

About Us

At BeWell Health Centres we’re reimagining how care is delivered in Ontario - comprehensive, committed, and connected.

We believe in treating the whole person, not just the diagnosis. Our interdisciplinary team includes psychotherapists, social workers, psychiatrists, and psychologists working collaboratively to provide evidence-informed, deeply human care.

Here, you’ll find the resources and support to do your best work -and the freedom to shape your clinical practice in a way that feels authentic to you.

We’re growing - thoughtfully - and looking for clinicians who bring expertise, curiosity, and genuine care to their work.

Who You Are & What You'll Do

We are seeking a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) or Registered Social Worker (RSW) trained in EMDR to join our team. In this role, you will work with clients experiencing trauma and other complex presentations, applying EMDR alongside other therapeutic modalities in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. You will deliver high-quality care, engage with a team of clinicians, and contribute to the ongoing development of our therapy programming.

  • Provide individual (and potentially group) therapy sessions using EMDR as the primary modality, as well as other evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, or trauma-informed care.

  • Conduct thorough assessment and formulation of clients presenting with trauma, PTSD, complex trauma, dissociation, or related mental health challenges.

  • Develop, implement and monitor treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs, goals and stage of therapy.

  • Collaborate closely with other professionals (e.g., psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, etc.) to deliver cohesive care and integrated treatment.

  • Maintain detailed, accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards and internal policies.

  • Participate in consultation, peer supervision, case review, and team meetings to support best practices and continuous improvement.

  • Contribute to program development, training initiatives, community outreach or group-based offerings as appropriate.

  • Stay current with developments in EMDR, trauma-treatment, and other relevant clinical practices; engage in ongoing professional development and supervision.

What You Bring
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology or a closely related discipline.

  • Fully registered and in good standing with one of the following Ontario regulatory bodies: College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) orOntario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW)

  • Certification in EMDR (successful completion of recognized EMDR training and affiliation with an EMDR association).

  • Experience in post-qualification clinical experience, ideally working with trauma, PTSD, or related complex forensic/clinical populations.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in applying EMDR in clinical practice, including case conceptualization, protocol phases, and adaptation to client needs.

  • Strong clinical judgment, ethical practice, excellent communication skills, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Commitment to client-centered, culturally sensitive care and ongoing professional development.

  • Additional certifications/training in trauma-informed approaches, DBT, CBT for trauma, dissociation treatment or other relevant modalities is preferred.

Why Join BeWell?
  • Specialized Practice: Work with a client population you’re passionate about, within a team that gets it.

  • Collaboration & Support: Regular consultation, supervision, and team connection — you’ll never feel isolated in your work.

  • Clinical Growth: Ongoing professional development, leadership pathways, and opportunities to help shape new programs.

  • Flexibility: Choose your schedule, balance in-person and virtual sessions, and enjoy genuine respect for work-life boundaries.
