Job summary

Shared Health in Winnipeg, MB, is seeking a maternity-term Psychiatric Nurse for the Intensive Treatment Service unit. The role involves delivering direct client care, developing and evaluating treatment plans, and administering medications according to RHPA guidelines.

Pensionable Salary Enhancement - Nurses in eligible classifications may be eligible to earn an additional $5.95/hour when working full-time hours within a prescribed six-month reporting period. (Effective April 1, 2025 – March 31st 2027.)

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

• Graduate from an approved program in Psychiatric Nursing or Nursing. (B.Sc.P.N., B.Sc. M.H. or B.Sc.N. preferred).

Certification/Licensure/Registration

• Responsible for maintaining and providing proof of active registration with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba (CRPNM) or the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
• Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.

• Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA)/Registered Psychiatric Nurses Act.

This maternity/parental term may expire sooner than the date indicated, subject to written notice of a minimum two (2) weeks, or one (1) pay period, whichever is longer.
