Pleasant Meadow Manor is seeking FULL TIME, Registered Practical Nurses to join their team.

We are currently conducting a talent pool for the role of Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team at Pleasant Meadow Manor in Norwood Ontario. As an RPN, you’ll provide hands‑on nursing care, administer medications, support and supervise care staff, and ensure resident well‑being while maintaining compliance with healthcare standards and fostering clear communication.

Job Duties
  • As an RPN is responsible for executing all assigned duties in compliance with relevant legislation, Omni standards, policies, and procedures. your responsibilities will include:
    • Ensure implementation of all applicable standards and regulations, including The Nursing
  • Homes Act, Long Term Care Program Standards, and Canadian Council on Health Service
  • Accreditation Standards within the nursing department.
    • Train, supervise, and assist in evaluating the performance of non-registered nursing staff,
  • in collaboration with the Director of Care and Registered Nurse. • Document and report personnel issues to the Director of Care or designated authority.
  • initiate disciplinary actions when necessary, according to home policies.
  • Reinforce acceptable behavior and performance standards among staff through
  • coaching and re‑instruction.
  • Perform professional nursing duties and adhere to the Standards of Practice established
  • by the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Administer medications and provide direct nursing care and treatments as directed by
  • the Director of Care and Registered Nurse.
  • Monitor resident care delivery by all staff, ensuring compliance with physician orders and
  • care plans; promptly address and correct any deficiencies.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with medical personnel, healthcare
  • specialists, management, Ministry of Health officials, social workers, residents, families,
  • and other stakeholders to promote continuity and quality of care.
  • Maintain security of the facility by responsibly managing keys and safeguarding
  • equipment and supplies.
  • Represent the home at community and professional meetings; actively participate in
  • workshops, in‑service education sessions, and other relevant meetings.
Qualifications
  • Completion of an approved Practical Nursing Program
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Experience in long‑term care or geriatrics is an asset
  • Current CPR certification.
