Job summary

Job Title: RPN - Registered Practical Nurse - LTC

Location: Brampton, Ontario

Salary:$29 - $31

Shift: Irregular on-call-WEEKEND AVAILABILITY

Job Description:

  • Provide nursing care in accordance with policies, physician orders, care plans, and within the RPN scope of practice, ensuring safe and effective clinical support.
  • Foster a safe, respectful environment that promotes residents' privacy, dignity, autonomy, and individual lifestyle preferences.
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary team members to support the delivery of high-quality resident care.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to CNO, LTCA, and organizational guidelines, while assisting with general health care needs such as hygiene, grooming, nutrition, and therapy.
  • Contribute to resident assessments and care plan development, while maintaining accurate and timely documentation.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the GentleCare® philosophy and perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Unrestricted Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as RPN
  • Successful completion of Medication Administration for RPN's.
  • Valid CPR
  • TB test/Negative Chest X-ray report
  • MMR and other vaccine records
  • Proof of Covid Vaccinations (3)
  • Solid communication skills both written and verbal
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Satisfactory Criminal Reference Check and Vulnerable Sector Screen
