In this role, you will provide high-quality, in-home care to children, working closely with families to ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of your patients. Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor and assess patients’ conditions, including vital signs and specific pediatric monitoring (e.g., seizures, suctioning, oxygen saturation).
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to create, implement, and update individualized care plans.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families.
  • Educate caregivers on pediatric care, disease management, and safe home practices.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical documentation.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and hygienic environment for patients.

What You Will Need to Succeed
  • Professional Requirements
    • Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
    • CPR and First Aid certification.
    • Chest X-ray or Negative Mantoux/TB Test (within the past 2 years).
    • Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check (within the past 6 months).
  • Experience
    • Community nursing experience and pediatric care considered an asset.
    • Experience with tracheostomy and ventilator care is an asset.
    • Skills in diabetes management, G-tube care, colostomy care, and PIECES or GPA training are preferred.
  • Other Requirements
    • Reliable transportation with valid Ontario Driver’s License and insurance.
    • Availability to work weekends and holidays.
