Job summary

Sienna Senior Living is hiring a Registered Practical Nurse for Bradford Valley Community in Bradford, Ontario. The role supports residents with daily care, treatment plans and family communications in a compassionate, dignity-driven environment.

Reporting to the Director of Care, the RPN will deliver professional nursing care and supervise support staff, ensuring safety, comfort and timely updates to residents and families.

Qualifications

  • Must be a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses.
  • Experience in geriatric care or senior health is an asset.
  • Demonstrates good judgement, teamwork and effective communication.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care per policy, physician orders and resident care plans.
  • Deliver high-quality nursing and personal care.
  • Create a welcoming, supportive environment through teamwork and communication.
  • Oversee resident care and communicate with residents and families; guide staff.
  • Supervise PSWs/Unregulated staff on the unit.
  • Assist with admission, readmission and status changes; ongoing resident assessments.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.
  • Utilizing sound nursing practice principles, ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care
  • Creating a welcoming and supportive environment for the residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff
  • Overseeing resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and providing guidance to staff
  • Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit
  • Admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to the residents
Who You Are
  • A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing the Ontario College of Nurses
  • An asset is having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry
  • You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment
  • You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit
