Job summary

Brightshores Health System in Owen Sound is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to join the Medicine department on a full-time, temporary basis (approx. end date March 2028).

STATUS: FULL-TIME, TEMPORARY (APPROX. END DATE MARCH 2028)REASON TO POST: DIRECT REPLACEMENT

WAGE RATE: $37.071 - $38.157

Reporting to the Manager of Medicine, Owen Sound Site, the Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) works collaboratively in an inter-disciplinary team to provide care to those patients with a stable and predictable outcome within the defined professional scope of practice as set out by the CNO.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• Ontario College of Nurses registration
• Ability to work at full scope of practice
• Coronary Care 1 Course or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire
• 2 years recent acute care nursing experience
• Excellent organizational and patient assessment skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with patients, families and other healthcare professionals
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to continuing education and professional development
• Participation in quality improvement initiatives on the unit
• Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records
