Job summary

Collingwood General and Marine Hospital is seeking Registered Practical Nurses to join our Overflow team. The role supports inpatient surgical, medical, and overflow units with 12-hour shifts, including days, nights and weekends.

Temporary part-time position through spring 2027 with a rate of $40.13–$41.22 per hour plus shift premiums. You will be part of a supportive team, helping maintain capacity during the winter surge, and have opportunities for education funding and access to HOOPP.

Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Registration as a Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Coronary Care 1 certification an asset.
• One year of applicable nursing experience.
• Experience with Meditech Expanse.

Responsibilities

• Contributes within the scope of an RPN as a team member in the assessment, treatment, provision of care and health promotion for all patients through supportive, therapeutic, palliative and rehabilitative means while adhering to the standards mandated by the College of Nurses of Ontario.

Reports to: Manager, Inpatient Units

Reason for Posting: Temporary Vacancies (2)

Hours of Work: 12-hour shifts – days, nights & weekends

Rate of Pay: $40.13 - $41.22 per hour plus applicable shift premiums

You want to be part of our team to support CGMH in maintaining capacity with the surge anticipated over the upcoming winter season. This role allows you to make meaningful relationships, and you will have the opportunity to develop your skills, while being supported by a great team environment. You will support the temporary extended care in our Medica/Surgical/Overflow areas and may be assigned to either of the units based on acuity.
