Job summary

St. Joseph’s Health Centre Guelph is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to provide long-term care on a designated unit, including supervising staff such as PSWs.

The role focuses on comprehensive nursing assessments, pain management, and holistic support for older adults with complex needs. Ideal candidates will hold an Ontario RPN license, have LTC experience, and demonstrate strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Registered Practical Nurse - Long Term Care (Temporary Part-Time)

Responsible for providing care toclients as well as supervision and direction to staff including and notlimited to PSWs, support services, etc. on a designated unit. The RPN supports the mission, vision andvalues of SJHCG, as well as working towards established goals andobjectives. The RPN is alsoresponsible for following all policies, processes and procedures of SJHCG.

Qualifications & Experience

• Registered Practical Nurse– Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario, in good standing
• Minimum one (1) yearexperience with clients in long-term care home setting preferred.
• Superb organizationalplanning, time management and multi-tasking skills
• Demonstrated written andverbal communication skills, and excellent interpersonal and leadershipskills
• Exceptional client serviceskills
• Basic computer skills arerequired
