Job summary

Kensington Health in Toronto, ON is seeking two Casual Registered Practical Nurses to support the Kensington Screening Clinic and Infusion Clinic. You will provide patient-centered care in a state-of-the-art GI endoscopy setting, following Ontario College of Nurses standards.

The role requires Endoscopy and Infusion experience, current certificate of competence, BCLS, and the ability to work shifts Monday through Saturday on a casual basis.

Qualifications

• Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current BCLS is mandatory requirements.
• Experience in Endoscopy, Infusion and Gastroenterology is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered quality care in accordance with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Maintain accurate and complete records.
• Assist with Endoscopic Procedures and/or Recovery of Patients.
• Assist with pre and post procedures in an endoscopy setting.
• Be accountable for one’s decision and professional practice.
• Good communication skills in English, written and verbal.
• Availability for shifts Monday to Saturdays on a casual basis.

Job Overview

The Kensington Screening Clinic is a state-of-the-art ambulatory GI Endoscopy Centre/Infusion Clinic and Research Centre. We make use of the latest in technology to provide world class, individual and timely care to our patients in need of GI Endoscopy/Infusion Services.

Kensington Screening Clinic and Kensington Infusion Clinic is seeking two experienced Casual Registered Practical Nurses.

Responsibilities

• Provide Patient-centered quality care in accordance with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Must maintain patient confidentiality and integrity policy on all matters involving Kensington Infusion Clinic and Kensington Screening Clinic.
• Maintain accurate and complete records.
• Assist with Endoscopic Procedures and/or Recovery of Patients.
• Assist with pre and post procedures in an endoscopy setting.
• Being accountable for one’s decision and professional practice.
• Good communication skills of English both in verbal and written.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Must be available for shifts Monday to Saturdays, on a casual basis.

Required Knowledge and Experience

• Experience in Endoscopy, Infusion and Gastroenterology.
• Continuous clinical development/competency.
• Excellent communication skills are a must.

Required Professional Designation/Certificate

• Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current BCLS is mandatory requirements.
• Membership in local professional associations.

Others

• Willing to work flex hours to meet facility needs.
• Preference will be given to candidates with:
• Previous Endoscopy and Infusion Experience.
