Job summary

North Bay Regional Health Centre in North Bay, Ontario, is seeking a Registered Nurse with Mental Health experience to join the department. Applicants must hold an active College of Nurses of Ontario registration and a current BLS certification.

Bilingual English/French abilities are required, with a willingness to work all shifts and participate in safety and quality initiatives. Demonstrated experience with serious mental illness and knowledge of recovery-oriented practice are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Registration ~ College of Nurses of Ontario required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers (HCP) Certificate required (recent within the last twelve months).
• Knowledge of Recovery Oriented Practice Supporting Patient Choice
• Good working knowledge of the College of Nurses of Ontario Standards of Nursing Practice required.
• Knowledge of Forensic Nursing and Legal Framework is an asset.

QUALIFICATIONS

Certification/Experience/Knowledge:

• Current Certificate of Registration ~ College of Nurses of Ontario required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers (HCP) Certificate required (recent within the last twelve months)
• Current Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA) Certificate an asset
• Demonstrated experience working with individuals with serious mental illness required
• Knowledge of Recovery Oriented Practice Supporting Patient Choice
• Good working knowledge of the College of Nurses of Ontario Standards of Nursing Practice required
• Knowledge of Forensic Nursing and Legal Framework is an asset
• Basic computer knowledge is an asset

• Bilingualism (Advanced level English/French) is required.
