A healthcare provider in Ontario is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. The Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) role models clinical excellence and embodies the core competencies outlined in the College of Nurses of Ontario's (CNO) practice standards, as well as adheres to the policies and procedures of Southlake Health. The RPN works collaboratively as a member of the health care team. All nurses commit to lifelong learning.
The successful candidate will be motivated, self-directed and a key member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team with defined roles focused on quality patient care and patient flow. The successful candidate will be responsible to provide excellent care to a diverse acute and subacute patient population in a fast-paced setting.
CRT RPNs are responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care for assigned patients in many inpatient areas of the hospital, including but not limited to, Emergency, Medicine, Maternal Child, Surgery, Cardiac, Mental Health, Restorative Care, off site clinical units and other units/specialties based upon skills, experience, education and competencies when required. All successful candidates are offered a comprehensive orientation, typically 12 weeks pending learning needs. For new graduates, we also offer opportunities through the Ministry’s Nursing Graduate Guarantee initiate.
