Job summary

Yee Hong Centre For Geriatric Care in Ontario is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care within a resident-centered approach. The unit nurse will supervise staff, coordinate resident care with the interdisciplinary team, and communicate with families to ensure continuity of care.

Responsibilities include shift-based supervision and collaboration with multiple teams to maintain standards of practice and safety.

Qualifications

• Registered Practical Nurse with current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Experience in nursing is an asset.
• Current CPR Certificate.
• Good leadership skills.
• Demonstrated initiative, problem solving and judgement skills.
• Superb customer service skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Screen.
• Ability to converse in Chinese an asset.

Performs the functions of Registered Practical Nurse in compliance with the standards of practice for Registered Practical Nurse developed by the College of Nurses (CNO), and provides high quality nursing service that reflects the organization's resident centred approach, vision and policies. As a Unit Nurse, the Registered Practical Nurse is responsible for day-to-day supervision of staff in the unit and coordination of resident care with interdisciplinary team members as well as communications with families.

Salary Range

$28.95 - $32.06
