AgeCare Ltd. in Ontario is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to provide professional nursing care to residents in accordance with required medical and nursing practice.
You will also direct Personal Support Workers and collaborate with the health care team. In collaboration with the Registered Nurse, you will implement AgeCare policies on the unit, liaise with physicians, and ensure residents’ care needs are met.

The Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) provides professional nursing care to residents in accordance with required medical care and professional nursing practice. The Registered Practical Nurse provides direction to the Personal Support Workers as defined by the College of Nurses Standard of Practice Working with Unregulated Health Care Workers.
A sound knowledge and background in geriatric, rehabilitation or long-term care nursing including activation, nursing, and personnel administration.
Knowledge of the Fixing Long-Term Care Act and Regulations, the appropriate sections of the Health Disciplines Act, Occupation Health and Safety Act, Pharmacy Act, Food and Drugs Act (Canada), Controlled Substances Act (Canada) Health Promotion and Protection Act. Personal Health Protection Act, Coroners Act, College of Nurses of Ontario Standards of Practice and other pertinent Federal, Provincial and Municipal Statues which influence the operation of the Nursing Home and more specifically the nursing department.
A current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario and a member in good standing.

Salary: $31.72 per hour Salary placement based on qualifications and experience.
