Job summary

Sobeys Inc. is expanding its national pharmacy team in Canada. We are seeking a licensed Pharmacy Technician to assist with authorized duties under provincial regulation, ensuring patient-centered care and accurate medication management.

As part of Sobeys’ national health-focused approach, you will handle prescription processing, transcription, and accuracy checks in a compliant, fast-paced environment with opportunities for injections where permitted by provincial rules.

Qualifications

• Completion of the Pharmacy Technician Certification.
• Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and transcribe verbal prescriptions from practitioners.
• Ensure prescriptions are complete and authentic, and perform final checks on prepared prescriptions.
• Provide injections/vaccinations where regulations allow.
• Transferring prescriptions between pharmacies and ensuring accuracy of drug and patient records.

Here’s where you’ll have an impact:

RPT’s will have independent authority, responsibility, and liability to prepare, process and compound prescriptions including:

• Receiving and transcribing verbal prescriptions from practitioners
• Ensuring prescriptions are complete and authentic
• Providing injections/vaccinations as applicable by regulations in certain jurisdictions
• Transferring prescriptions to and receiving prescriptions from other pharmacies
• Ensuring the accuracy of prepared prescriptions
• Conducting the final check of prepared prescriptions
• Confirming the accuracy of drug and personal health information in patient records
