Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting pharmacists by preparing and dispensing medications, managing patient records, and ensuring accurate medication distribution. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, providing essential patient care and medication management services.

Duties
  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently
  • Creating Risk Assessments For Compounds
  • Manage medication inventory, including stocking, labeling, and organizing supplies
  • Enter prescription data into electronic health records with precision
  • Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and offering medication guidance under pharmacist supervision
  • Verify prescriptions for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
  • Support medication administration processes as needed, including preparation for inpatient or outpatient settings
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless medication delivery and patient safety
Requirements
  • Prior experience as a compounding pharmacy technician is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of NAPRA
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy in prescription processing
  • Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and team collaboration
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Certification or registration as a pharmacy technician may be required depending on state regulations

Pay

$25.00-$35.00 per hour
