Job summary

Mednow in Etobicoke, ON is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our tech-driven team. You will perform final checks, process prescriptions, manage billing, dispense medications, and support inventory and delivery across digital and traditional channels.

The ideal candidate is licensed with the Ontario College of Pharmacists, detail-oriented, and comfortable with PACMED and modern pharmacy software. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly rate, benefits, and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in Ontario with good standing.
• Hands-on experience with prescription filling, billing/charging, dispensing, PACMED automation or checking.
• Comfort with technology, digital platforms, live chat tools, and electronic workflows.

Responsibilities

• Perform final technical checks within the technician scope of practice, including PACMED compliance packaging checks.
• Accurately fill, bill, charge, and dispense prescriptions following Ontario College of Pharmacists standards and Mednow workflows.
• Leverage Mednow's digital pharmacy platforms to manage workflows and communicate with patients via chat and phone.
• Provide excellent patient support over phone, live chat, and email to resolve inquiries and assist with orders.
• Manage medication inventory, place supplier orders, receive stock, and ensure proper storage and maintenance.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, and healthcare providers to ensure safety and accuracy.

The Role
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and proactive Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
In this role, you will play a key part in our tech-heavy operations—handling technical checks (including PACMED), prescription processing, billing, charging, dispensing, inventory management, and delivering high-touch customer service across digital and traditional channels.

What You'll Do

• Technical Checks & Dispensing: Perform final technical checks within the technician scope of practice, including inspecting, checking, and verifying PACMED compliance packaging.
• Prescription Processing: Accurately fill, bill, charge, and dispense prescriptions following Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) standards and Mednow workflows.
• Technology & Digital Communication: Leverage Mednow's digital pharmacy platforms to manage workflows, communicate with patients via chat and phone, and navigate tech-heavy pharmacy systems efficiently.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent, empathetic patient support over the phone, live chat, and email to resolve inquiries, assist with orders, and coordinate delivery details.
• Inventory & Ordering: Manage medication inventory, place supplier orders, receive stock, and ensure appropriate storage and maintenance.
• Collaborative Care: Work closely with pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless workflow, accuracy, and patient safety.

What We're Looking For

• Education & Licensing: Registerd Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
• Technical Experience: Hands-on experience with prescription filling, billing, charging, dispensing, and PACMED automation/checking (PREFFERED).
• Tech-Savvy Mindset: High comfort level with technology, digital platforms, live chat tools, and electronic workflow management systems.
• Pharmacy Software: Strong working knowledge of Kroll Pharmacy Management System is strongly preferred.
• Communication & Service: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for patient interactions via phone and chat.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and commitment to patient safety and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment.
• Schedule: Ability to work Monday-Friday 9am - 5 pm shift daily.
