Job summary

AmerisourceBergen in Oakville, ON is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to lead pharmacy support operations and ensure throughput and quality. You will collaborate with pharmacists and assistants to fulfill prescriptions, label, fill, and double-check repeats, and prepare billing documentation.

You should have a Pharmacy Technician diploma, 2+ years of experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office and Kroll, and bilingual French/English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Pharmacy Manager in day-to-day workload management.

• Identify potential therapeutic issues and seek Pharmacist’s check.
• Coordinate with Innomar and ABSG Patient Programs for pharmacy responsibilities.
• Process billings, claims, disbursements and related documents.
• Enter prescriptions into the computer and manage data corrections.
• Manage inventory of medications and order supplies.
• Pack and ship prescription orders and maintain accurate records.
• Report Adverse Events per provincial standards.

The Registered Pharmacy Technician will also be assigned other duties and tasks as required from time to time.
