The Opportunity: Ocean Front Village – Long-Term Care | Courtenay, BC


Position Type: Permanent Full-time (1.00 FTE)


Shift Schedule: Evening


Shift Times: 15:00 – 23:00 (8 hour shifts)

We’re looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) who is compassionate, skilled, and ready to take a leadership role in supporting care staff and ensuring residents receive the highest standard of person-centered care.



What You\'ll Do


  • Lead and support care staff to ensure residents receive safe, high-quality care.

  • Develop and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

  • Provide direct nursing care, including administering medications and treatments in line with BCCNM standards and Village policy.

  • Promote residents’ dignity, independence, and well-being through respectful, person-centered interactions.

  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to support positive outcomes and teamwork.

  • Participate in ongoing quality improvement, education, and safety initiatives.



What You Bring


  • Completion of Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing, complimented by supervisory experience.

  • Current full practicing licensure with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

  • Knowledge and experience with social models of care an asset.

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare setting.

  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
