Requisition Details: Employment Status: Full-time, Part-time positions available (0.7, 0.8, 0.9 FTE). Program Name: Visiting Nursing. Number of Hours Bi-Weekly: 0 - 75. Our RNs provide medical care to children, youth, adults and seniors in their homes and other settings in communities across Nova Scotia.

  • Diabetes management
  • Dialysis
  • IV medications
  • IV/CVAD care
  • Palliative care
  • Phlebotomy
  • Wound care; incl. negative pressure wound therapy and complex wounds

What we need from you
  • Must be Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the province of practice
  • Experience in community health an asset
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle is required
  • A current and original copy of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check is required and a Vulnerable Sector Search and/or a Child Abuse Registry Check may be required
  • Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Working conditions

This role requires a detail-oriented approach in a dynamic environment, with physical activity including lifting, carrying (using proper techniques), bending, reaching, kneeling, and other movements that emphasize good body mechanics. Individuals in the role are required to walk, sit, stand, and climb stairs throughout the day, with some tasks requiring fine hand movements.
