A community healthcare provider is seeking a part-time School Nurse in London, Ontario, to provide pediatric nursing care for children within a school setting. The ideal candidate will have pediatric experience and be responsible for supporting medically fragile children. Time frame: School Calendar Year (September to June) with an option to renew. Job Summary: The School Nurse is responsible for supporting medically fragile children and their families in the community. As a School Nurse, you will provide complex pediatric nursing care within a school setting and at times before and after school in the child’s home. The successful candidate will be working throughout the school calendar year except on all school holidays and PD days. Candidates with pediatric experience are preferred.
Working conditions and physical demands: This role requires a detail‑oriented approach in a dynamic environment, with physical activity including lifting, carrying (using proper techniques), bending, reaching, kneeling, and other movements that emphasize good body mechanics. Individuals in the role are required to walk, sit, stand, and climb stairs throughout the day, with some tasks requiring fine hand movements.
