Overview

Job Overview We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to provide in-home postpartum nursing care for new mothers and their babies. This role involves delivering high-quality, professional, family-centered care to new mothers and their babies, ensuring safety, comfort, and recovery. The ideal candidate will have experience in acute care, maternal health, NICU, or pediatrics, and possess strong clinical skills to support families during the postpartum period.

Responsibilities

• Supporting families with all types of infant feeding
• Supporting families with the usage of breast pumps
• Ensuring safe sleep practices
• Sterilization of breast pump parts and bottle feeding systems
• Medication administration
• Weight checks
• Blood pressure monitoring
• Wound care

Qualifications

• Valid Alberta RN or LPN license
• Valid driver\'s license
• Experience in postpartum nursing care or related fields such as obstetrics, neonatal ICU (NICU), or maternal health is highly desirable.
• Experience with infant feeding practices (breastfeeding and bottlefeeding)
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques relevant to postpartum patients.
• Excellent patient assessment skills combined with compassionate communication abilities tailored for diverse populations
• Knowledge of infection control practices
