Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide integrated nursing services in an operating room environment. The ideal candidate will have recent experience in an acute care setting and an advanced nursing specialty in operating room nursing.

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is proud to be part of the provincial implementation of minimum Nurse to Patient Ratios (mNPRs), an initiative aimed at enhancing nursing practice and strengthening quality of care across the health system. mNPRs set the minimum number of nurses providing care to patients on a given unit and are developed in partnership with the Ministry of Health, the BC Nurses’ Union (BCNU) and health organizations. Salary range: CAD $41.42/hr – $55.91/hr.
Provide nursing services in an operating room environment as a member of an integrated surgical team performing a wide variety of surgical interventions. Enhance quality of life from the patient/family perspective, consult, collaborate and coordinate with surgical team members, and continuously improve nursing practice and patient care. Maintain and advance clinical competence and participate in designated hospital committees, teams and approved research projects.
Required skills: perioperative nursing specialty and/or recent related experience; current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Hours of work, including days off and work area, may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements, the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes.
