Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at the Prince Rupert Regional Hospital. Reporting to the Director of Care, provides, coordinates and implements nursing care service such as patient assessment, patient and family teaching, administration of chemotherapy and health promotion activities to cancer patients, in accordance with established policies, standards, procedures and philosophy at BC Cancer Agency. Plans, implements, delivers and evaluates programs and services in relation to Intravenous Therapy assessment, education and treatment of patients of all ages who require IV Therapy; Education and support programs for those who care for patients requiring IV Therapy, and assist in clinical skills development of hospital and community based nurses.

Responsibilities
  • Provide, coordinate and implement nursing care services including patient assessment, patient and family teaching, and administration of chemotherapy.
  • Deliver health promotion activities to cancer patients in accordance with policies, standards and philosophy.
  • Plan, implement, deliver and evaluate IV Therapy programs, including assessment, education and treatment of patients of all ages.
  • Support and educate those who care for patients requiring IV Therapy and assist in clinical skills development of hospital and community-based nurses.
  • Shift details: Tuesday to Friday, Days, 08:30 to 15:30.

Prince Rupert Regional Hospital is a 24-bed facility with services including acute care, internal medicine, ultrasound, CT scans, surgery, emergency department, extended care, pediatrics, radiology, obstetrics and gynecology, among others. The city is a marine-based port on British Columbia’s North Coast.
