Job description

We Are Hiring

• Department: NICU Float Pool
• Schedule: PRN, Nights, Tier 2 (6 shifts in 6-week schedule)
• Hospital: Ascension Saint Thomas
• Location: Midtown

What You Will Do

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Record and communicate patient conditions as appropriate.
• Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with healthcare team members.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer date. Accepted from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Neonatal Resuscitation certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) obtained within 6 months (180 days) of hire or transfer date.
• The S.T.A.B.L.E Program certification obtained within 6 months (180 days) of hire or transfer date.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credential from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current multi-state license recognized as a "Compact State" obtained prior to hire or transfer date.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited nursing school/college OR current professional licensure at the time of hire.
