About The Job

The Registered Nurse:

• Practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care
• Works in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Ensures the delivery of client–centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs
• Demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities

This is a Permanent Full Time (1.00) opportunity.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights rotating from 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 hours.

About this Location

Located in Vernon, between Kelowna and Kamloops, VJH offers services including core physician specialties, 24 hour emergency and trauma services, acute and obstetrical care.
Level 7 Acute Medical, Rehab and Palliative Care unit has 28 beds with a focus on acute medicine, rehabilitation, and palliative care. Our cohesive team of RNs and LPNs work collaboratively with a wider inter-professional network of Physicians, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Rehab Assistants and Palliative Care Network to deliver safe and compassionate nursing care and support to patients and their caregivers during their hospital stay and transition to home.
