Job summary

The Bulkley Valley District Hospital in Smithers, BC is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care in an acute medical unit, working with an interprofessional care team under the supervision of the Manager or designate.

The RN will practice in accordance with BC College of Nurses and Midwives standards and a patient- and family-centered care model, with rotating day and night shifts (07:00–19:00 and 19:00–07:00).

Qualifications

  • Must hold a current Registered Nurse license with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Demonstrates compassionate patient care and professional ethics.
  • Works collaboratively within an interprofessional care team.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, provide and evaluate direct nursing care for patients in an acute medical unit.
  • Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to deliver holistic patient care.

Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at Bulkley Valley District Hospital.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, the Registered Nurse practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as well as within a patient and family-centered care model.

The Registered Nurse (RN) practices in a variety of clinical settings, and working collaboratively with the interprofessional care team, provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, providing and evaluating nursing care to patients in an acute medical unit.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Days, Nights, 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 (rotating)
