Position Summary

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our Dementia Care Unit, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, individualized care. Working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, you will use your clinical judgment and nursing expertise to support residents and their families in a setting where care needs are established and changes in health condition are predictable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centered nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Monitor residents’ health status, respond promptly to changes, and document care in accordance with Park Place policies.
  • Foster therapeutic relationships with residents and families, offering education and emotional support.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a culture of safety and continuous quality improvement.
  • Support dementia care best practices, including responsive behavior management and engagement strategies.
Qualifications
  • Current registration and standing with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of dementia care principles and experience in long-term care or assisted living settings.
