Position Summary

Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication to delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at Fort St. John Hospital.

Under the direction of the Manager, Med/Surg; ICU; In-patients, the nurse is responsible for the assessment and treatment of patients in the ICU Unit.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Days, Nights, 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 (Rotation)

About Fort St. John Hospital and Health Centre: The hospital has 44 Acute Care beds and 124 residential beds, handling approximately 22,000 ER visits annually. Facilities include:

  • Endoscopy suite, 2 operating rooms, and a procedure room
  • Ambulatory clinics including Cancer and Hemodialysis
  • Medical and Surgical inpatient rooms (40 beds)
  • 3 Intensive care units
  • Minor surgeries
  • 7 single Maternity rooms for Labour, Delivery, and Post-Partum

Fort St. John also hosts a Health Unit and Primary Care Clinic serving the community.

Community Overview: Known as "The Energetic City," Fort St. John is located above the Peace River Valley, serving as the district's capital. It has a population of over 21,400 and services a larger area of approximately 70,000, with amenities like a cultural centre, library, theatre, art space, schools, and a college campus.
