QUALIFICATIONS
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario required
- Recent experience, within the last 2 years, in Ambulatory‑Outpatient Clinic Services and activities related to outpatient care preferred
- Current demonstrated proficiency certification in Intravenous therapy, venipuncture and central vascular access devices required
- Working knowledge and recent experience, within the last 2 years of Apheresis preferred
- Previous experience in Critical Care and/or Hemodialysis preferred
- Current BCLS/HCP certification required
- Demonstrated knowledge, sensitivity and expertise in the care of seniors and their families
- Gentle Persuasive Approach training preferred
- Current surgical nursing preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and leadership experience as evident by leading teams and coordinating patient care
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary care team
- Demonstrates excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize needs
- Committed to customer‑focused environment while ensuring excellence in practice
- Demonstrates excellence in interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrates ability to teach and communicate effectively with patient and family
- Commitment to continuous improvement within the program
- Good attendance and work record essential
- Ability to complete orientation as required
- Charge nurse coverage in Outpatient Department as required
- A resume outlining further special courses, certifications, current and ongoing education should accompany the application
- Demonstrated strong knowledge, experience and current skill in venipuncture, intravenous therapy, procedure support, and nursing care related to care provided in the Outpatient Department and Apheresis Clinic, as assigned
