Interior Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Ambulatory Care team at Vernon Jubilee Hospital in Vernon, BC. This casual opportunity offers the chance to work in a fast-paced setting, delivering patient-centered care and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

The role requires graduation from an approved School of Nursing and current BCCNM registration, with specialized GI/endoscopy preparation and related experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Advanced preparation in GI nursing or Endoscopy; two years' recent related clinical experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate client care in a variety of clinical settings.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.
• Respond to changing health care needs and apply nursing knowledge from related sciences.
• Demonstrates a specialized body of nursing knowledge and evidence-based practice.

About the Job

The Registered Nurse:

• Practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care
• Works in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Ensures the delivery of client-centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs
• Demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities

This is a Casual opportunity

Casual Employees are not guaranteed hours of work and can range from 0-37.5 hours per week on an as-needed basis.

Shifts of Work

Rotating days from 07:30 to 15:30, 08:00 to 16:00, 08:30 to 16:30, 09:00 to 17:00 hours.

• Advanced preparation in the clinical specialty of the assigned program area as required by the position: Endoscopy - completion of additional education in gastro intestinal (GI) Nursing and a minimum of two years' recent, related clinical experience in the assigned practice environment; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
