A health organization in Winnipeg is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide quality nursing care in a long-term care environment. The ideal candidate must hold a valid RN registration with CRNM and preferably have experience in supervisory roles. You will be responsible for developing comprehensive nursing care plans and guiding nursing team members to deliver optimal patient care. This position emphasizes strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills.

Reporting to and under the direction of the Resident Care Manager, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides quality nursing care that identifies needs of individual residents and develops a nursing care plan to ensure comprehensive care; provides direct nursing care based on the care plan, medical orders, Donwood Manor Resident Bill of Rights, Mission Statement, nursing objectives and policies, WRHA/Manitoba Health standards and provincial nursing regulations; assigns tasks; provides guidance to and evaluates the work performed by other nursing team members to ensure high quality of care and optimum utilization of staff; maintains accurate, appropriate, informative records of nursing observations, health conditions and care given.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
