Position : Registered Nurse

Schedule : Permanent Part-time position

Responsibilities
  • Provide quality resident care by assessing and assisting residents with their activities of daily living
  • Plan, implement and evaluate quality resident care, constantly striving to improve
  • Promote and support opportunities for professional development of self and other staff
  • Maintain a clean, comfortable and safe environment for residents and fellow staff members
  • Administer medications and treatments to residents
  • Act as a resource, leader and supervisor to other nursing staff
  • Perform probationary and annual performance appraisals, providing staff with appropriate feedback and coaching
  • Ensure resident documentation and reports are maintained
  • Pharmacy duties such as maintaining inventory records, ensuring the narcotics count is completed at shift change, and place pharmacy orders
  • Assume responsibility for the facility in the absence of Senior Management
  • Maintain confidentiality concerning residents, staff and organizational information
Qualifications
  • Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses
  • Standard First Aid, CPR and Phlebotomy required
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written in English
  • Strong leadership skills
