Job summary

Generation Fertility Waterloo is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to join our expanding fertility practice. The role covers clinical care and OR procedures for oocyte retrievals and embryo transfers, with responsibilities spanning patient education and post-procedure care.

The position is full-time with standard hours and weekend/holiday rotations; candidates should hold an Ontario RN in good standing and ACLS (or willingness to obtain) and be committed to a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (RN, in Good Standing).
• Minimum of 1 year experience as an RN.
• ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Willing to commit to a full-time schedule including weekends and on-call dates.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and assist with fertility procedures and OR procedures for oocyte retrievals and embryo transfers.
• Communicate results, treatment plans and protocols to patients and review cycle information.
• Prepare patients for procedures and provide post-procedure care; assist physicians during procedures and administer conscious sedation.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure patient safety and comfort.

Generation Fertility Waterloo is a patient-focused clinic and nursing is a key role in our multidisciplinary team. We are seeking a motivated nurse to join our expanding fertility practice to work in clinical care as well as an OR procedures for oocyte retrievals and embryo transfers.

At GFW, it is our commitment to provide high-quality, patient centered care. The nurse participates as an important member on a multidisciplinary team and collaborates with other professionals to deliver comprehensive, patient focused care. The nursing role involves performing routine examinations and fertility procedures; communicating results, treatment plans, and protocols with patients, reviewing cycle information and providing patient education, preparing patients for procedures and performing post procedure care; assisting physicians during procedures, and administering conscious sedation.

The position will be full time. Standard clinic hours are 7am-3pm Monday to Friday and 7:30am-2pm on weekend and holiday rotation.

• Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (RN, in Good Standing)
• Minimum of 1 year experience as an R.N.
• Current ACLS (or willing to obtain)
• Willing to commit to a full-time schedule including weekends and on-call dates

The following knowledge is special to this position:

• Nursing practices according to standards of College of Nurses of Ontario
• Knowledge of policies, procedures and standards of care for Assisted Human Reproduction
• Previous experience in reproductive medicine and/or gynecology an asset.
