Job summary

A senior home care provider in Halifax is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join their care team. In this role, you will deliver quality nursing care focusing on assessment, health education, and chronic health condition management. Responsibilities include administering medications, assessing wounds, supervising LPNs, and collaborating with the care team to maintain patient care plans. To qualify, you must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and at least 3 years of experience, preferably in a community setting.

Position Overview:

Our client is a private senior home care located in the city of Halifax, Nova Scotia and is currently seeking experiencedRegistered

Nurses (RN)to join our care team. As a Registered Nurse, you are responsible for delivering quality nursing care to patients with a

focus on assessment, health education, disease prevention and as well as early intervention and support for chronic health conditions.

RN participated in a team-centeredJob duties:

Administering medications to residents

Assessing wounds and determining a course of treatment within the RN scope of practice

Supervising LPNs and CCAs

Working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to develop and maintain plans of care

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician or according to established policies and protocols

Monitor, assess, address, document and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions

Operate or monitor medical apparatus or equipment

May supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff

May develop and implement discharge planning process on admission of patients

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required

Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing (NSCN) required.

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN), preferably in the community home setting
