Under the direction of the O.R. Manager or Manager, Health Services, the incumbent is responsible for: promotion and compliance with the VH mission, objectives, goals, policies and procedures for perioperative nursing; providing a continuity of care throughout the perioperative period, using scientific and behavioural practices with the eventual goal of meeting the individual needs of the patient undergoing surgical intervention. (Expected practice behaviours include assessment, planning, implementation of perioperative nursing interventions and evaluation.
This term position may end earlier as outlined in your collective agreement.
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
