SJH St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton in Hamilton, Ontario is seeking a Registered Nurse – Mental Health and Addiction Programs (RN‑MHAP) for the Concurrent Disorders Outpatient Service on a temporary 12‑month assignment.

As a key member of the inter‑professional team, you will assess, plan and deliver safe, evidence‑based nursing care for patients with complex mental illnesses, while promoting trauma‑informed, person‑centred practice and harm‑reduction principles.

Qualifications

• Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario required
• CNA certification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing (CPMHN(c)) or commitment to complete within 5 years of hire
• Current BCLS/HCP certification required
• CPI – Crisis Prevention Training (or completion during orientation)
• Certificate program in addictions/concurrent disorders from an accredited institution
• Certificate/diploma in Concurrent Disorders is an asset
• Demonstrates knowledge of harm reduction in practice
• Minimum of five years of recent mental health nursing experience with concurrent disorder framework required
• Experience in addictions setting is an asset
• Experience in health teaching, group facilitation and program development
