Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Day Surgery Multifunctional Unit at Red Deer Regional Hospital. The RN will provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care for outpatient and inpatient procedures, including pre-operative assessment, intraoperative support, and post-operative education and discharge planning.

You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other professionals to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
• Active or eligible for registration with CRNA.
• Current BCLS-HCP certification.

Responsibilities

• Pre-operative assessment and evaluation of medical histories.
• Post-operative care and discharge planning.
• Medication administration and monitoring.
• Educating patients and families on post-operative care.
