Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in British Columbia to join our care team, reporting to the Director of Care. You will ensure safe, ethical nursing services and promote a culture of respect, teamwork and resident safety.

The RN will provide direct resident care, assess needs, develop care plans, and participate in care conferences. A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and current provincial registration are required, with 3+ years in seniors’ health and CPR/First Aid/MDS training.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and active provincial registration.
  • 3+ years of experience in seniors’ health or continuing care.
  • CPR, First Aid, and MDS training.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of an inter-professional team delivering person-centered care.
  • Complete and maintain resident care assessments, plans, and documentation.
  • Implement and evaluate care/service plans and adjust as needed.
  • Assist with scheduling care conferences and participate in relevant meetings.
  • Provide direct resident care and administer medications/treatments in line with policy.

They will integrate and apply the knowledge, skills, judgment, and interpersonal attributes required to provide safe and ethical professional nursing services to residents.The RN provides quality and safe resident care.
