A regional health authority in Nova Scotia is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct nursing care to patients in various settings. The ideal candidate should be registered with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives and possess strong communication skills. Responsibilities include planning care based on nursing standards and ensuring staff and patient safety. Candidates must be organized and able to interact effectively with multiple contacts. This position necessitates physical ability to manage the duties required.
In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.
Reports to the Nurse Manager, Department Head, or designate. Plans and provides direct nursing care to patients/residents in the hospital or in the community in accordance with the unit/program philosophy, competency guidelines, policies, and the BC College of Nurses and Midwives Standards for Nursing Practice in British Columbia.
