An organization in healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide quality nursing care to patients and residents either in a hospital or community setting. The ideal candidate must possess a current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives and have recent acute medical/surgical nursing experience, along with strong communication and organizational skills. This role demands a commitment to safety and continuous quality improvement.
In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of Island Health (Vancouver Island Health Authority), patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.
Reports to the Manager or designate. Plans and provides direct nursing care to patients/residents in the hospital or in the community in accordance with the unit/program philosophy, competency guidelines, policies, and the BCCNM Standards for Nursing Practice in British Columbia.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Training And ExperienceRegistration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant. Recent experience in acute medical/surgical nursing, and completion of a basic arrhythmia interpretation course, or an equivalent combination of education, skills and training.
