Your Opportunity: If you are a Registered Nurse who loves small town living and working with the elderly, then this position in Rimbey might be just what you’re looking for! Rimbey is a small town of approximately 2600 and is located approximately 45 minutes north west of Red Deer. The Rimbey Home Care program serves a large area of clients including the communities of Rimbey, Breton, and Winfield and surrounding areas. We work closely with community groups, other health care services in the community and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Registered Nurse - Case Manager is responsible for directing the care of clients under the home care program. The Case Manager must have strong interpersonal communication and interdisciplinary team player skills, excellent critical thinking, creativity, resourcefulness, time management, and organization abilities. The Case Manager responsibilities include assessment of client needs, establishing goals for client care delivery, planning, delivering, and coordination of care needs, resources, and services within professional practice standards and home care program guidelines, communication and coordination of client care with the interdisciplinary team, and evaluation of outcomes.
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well‑being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $39.58 - $54.16 per hour. Upon obtaining a full licence, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii) as applicable.
