Job summary

A community support organization in Vancouver is seeking a compassionate Clinical Counsellor to provide critical mental wellness counselling services to children and families impacted by trauma. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in psychology or a relevant field, at least 2 years of counselling experience, and a passion for working with Indigenous communities. This full-time position offers a salary starting at $90,000, with various benefits including health and wellness days.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience in trauma, depression and/or anxiety counselling.
  • Training in therapeutic modalities (e.g. EMDR, SE, IFS, Motivational Interviewing).
  • Knowledge of trauma‑informed, culturally sensitive practices and traditional healing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide mental wellness counselling for trauma crisis and intergenerational healing.
  • Deliver crisis intervention during community-based critical incidents.
  • Collaborate with First Nations communities and local agencies.
